Energy

Tomorrow I will go to Coop to exchange my water boiler for the second time in just a few months! The first time I went there I wanted to get it repaired but they handed me a new one right away instead. Which obviously sucked. The heater was a christmas gift from the start, and I really didn’t need a new store bought one, let alone two, or THREE! New electronic things obviously always suck. So I’ve decided to ask for the money back this time and go thrifting for one made in the 80s where things weren’t made to break in a few months.

I also found a list on how to cook environmentally friendly, on Naturskyddsföreningens site. Here it is in english:

+ Always put a lid on the pot and never boil anything on a higher temperature than neccessary.

+ Make use of the after heating.

+ Ceramic cooktops are better for the environment energy wise but there is no need to exchange your ordinary stove if it’s still working.

+ Electric water boiler is the fastest and least wasteful way to heat water. If everyone (in Sweden, I presume) heated their water with boilers, that would equal supporting 22.000 villas for a year.

+ Keep your stove surface clean to avoid leakage of energy.
