One day last week, Rainbow decided he just knew how to play fetch! We didn’t try to teach him or anything. Now he drops the ball by your side and waits for you to throw it again and I feel like a parent bragging about my kid, he is so smart and awesome! I made a video to show off his skills! Never mind my stupid cat talk voice…

Next time I’ll try to write about something else besides cats.

All I have been doing lately is to study or to hang out with the cats. All but Rainbow & Gudrun have now moved to their new homes which is both fantastic and sad. Last week Frej, Ruby and I went on a health check for Gudrun and the kittens, all was well and we got Gudrun spayed.

Gudrun continues being the nicest and most accepting cat, she took the surgery well but was a bit sad over wearing the collar and that the kittens got scared of her when she was wearing it, but other from that she has been doing so well!

A little more than a week ago I was house sitting for Ruby and Emma as they went to Copenhagen on vacation. When they came back home, Emma got an allergy attack from the cats, having been away from them the allergy got way worse than before. She had to go to the hospital by ambulance and the cats had to emergency-move houses to Frej’s place, they have been living here for a week or so now.. So here they are, right now sleeping in different places all over the place! Ruby and Emma (medicated) were over for a while yesterday to visit with a few other friends & take the cats outside for the first time all together. And these are the pictures Ruby took. ALL PICTURES ARE BY RUBY PECK AND HER MAGNIFICENT CAMERA!

Not pictured was them running up and down the stairs up to Frej’s place for a long while, making them exhausted.

Gudrun update.

We were on the lookout for Gudrun’s alleged kittens for quite a while when I first wrote about her here, but realized pretty soon she wasn’t a mom yet, but was going to be.Ten days ago or so she gave birth to five kittens in the forest outside, a few hours after a crazy fight with escapee Ziggy that made her water break on the stairs to our flat! Our dear neighbours Ruby & Emma then decided that they could take the family in (we did not dare to take them to our house due to Ziggy’s dislike) and they have been living with Ruby & Emma for a few days now. We have already started to look for homes for them, and have applied for funds to pay for their vaccinations and ID-tagging and so on. If you’re interested in a kitten and live nearby Göteborg or Jönköping, you can go to this fb event and contact Ruby or Emma. We want the new owners to insure the kittens directly, and they can leave Gudrun in November.
Gudrun has been magnificent and instantly started to go on the litter box so we guess she’s been an indoors cat before, and is not born in the wild. When we took them in, she just took a quick walk around Ruby & Emma’s kitchen and then went to feed her babies and relax. She is super calm and nice, and I am really relieved she is so happy inside!

I’ve started re-watching the best show from my childhood! Dr Quinn is oldschool! And the most politically correct person ever.
I am now half way into season three, so lots of enjoyment ahead. The highlight of my day is when I can watch(/listen to) a few episodes while I am painting and drawing by my desk, I can never focus on just one thing at the time so this is ideal.
Highlights of watching so far: When Dr Mike quotes my beloved Thoreau’s Civil Disobedience essay. <3 <3 <3

Been hanging out at Frej’s place for most of the day today, except for when I went into town and met up with Åsa and Klara in Slottskogen. Åsa gave me a load of sour dough bread that I’ve been eating off since… And then, PRAISE THE LORD or whatever, I went and got our router back repaired and actually working! (More than you can expect from 3 which is absolutely the crappiest business I’ve dealt with.) So now we’ve got internet back home again, which is really lucky because I was getting seriously worried what to do with my life and math studies and such.
