Dresses for Gothiakatten now for auction!

The auctions for the benefit of Gothiakatten are now all up and ready on tradera! All the money collected from these auctions will be donated to the cat home and go to their work in feeding, castrating, vaccinating and helping homeless cats from Kvibergs handelsträdgård to find new homes. I am really happy to be able to help out with something and hope for a lot of bids!
I will pay for shipping the garments so that all money goes straight to the organization.

Preview vintage dress for cat auction!

Here’s a little preview of one of the three vintage dresses I’ll be auctioning out on Tradera this week (as soon as I have all the finished pictures) for the benefit of Gothiakatten, an organization helping to spay/neuter and give homes to homeless cats living in Kviberg.
This first dress is a two piece 40s(?) dress, I’ve never seen anything quite like it before.

Changing web shop solution!

Hello everybody! My web hotel is upgrading to MYSQL 5 and since the oscommerce solution I use for Lily of the Valley doesn’t support that, I’m taking the opportunity to change to a better and more modern webshop solution, seems like it’ll be OpenCart instead. I have to close down Lily on the 14th of December and will try to replace it with a new old shop ASAP, but it’ll probably take a while given my computer skills, or lack thereof. Until then, don’t place any orders if you’re not comfortable with ordering from a site where you can’t get an order update and know when your items have been shipped!

In other news, my friend Evelyn is staying at our place at the moment, and she if off on a photoshoot right now, with a few really lovely vintage dresses that I will be selling on the online auction site tradera for the benefit of a cat home nearby my house. So I’ll post the auctions here as soon as I get the finished photos!

Now I am going to go back to my flu and watch American Horror Story!

Pattern update on Lily of the Valley again!

I have again updated Lily of the Valley with a heap of 40s-50s knitting patterns and a few knitting magazines from the early 1950s, they’re all super lovely and I will scan some of the patterns in the books before I sell them so that I can try and knit something for myself one day when my arms are good enough to keep up a job like that!

I added a bunch of vintage knitting and crochet patterns to the site right now, the one above is my favourite out of the bunch! I wish I had the patience and the undamaged arms to knit it but I don’t. You should! Knitting and crochet has to be one of the best things to do over the summer vacation, it’s so relaxing and nice. Today Frej and I are working together to add even more clothing to Lily, he’s getting ready now by brushing his teeth. I’ve made him addicted to removing background on merchandize pictures so that’s what he wants to do all day, haha!

Lily of the Valley vintage update!

I’m in the process of updating Lily of the Valley with lots of new things! Frej is helping me by taking the measurements so that everything is running much faster than usually! There are about 15 new clothing items up so far tonight, and more are coming! I have lots of really cute children’s clothing from the 50s this time!

60s glittery dress!

Pink and green dress that seems home woven.

50s light yellow children’s jumpsuit! I wish this would fit me!

Full lenght 50s black dress, I’d wear this gothic style with lots of underskirt volume and big brooches.

Fantastic, classic 60s mini dress! I would have loved to keep this but the colours look like crap on me…

Okay, back to updating! Frej is helping me to edit photos so that I don’t wear my arms out too badly. I have been away from the internet almost completely for two weeks, and it took one day and the aching is back and my arm is now cramping. It sucks!
