It closes at the side and shoulder with hooks (and also down the front with more hooks, which are hidden), so it’s quite impossible for me to get on by myself and when I wear it I usually wear it all day because it’s so tricky to get in and out of when you have to ask someone for help all the time. One of the sleeves and a little part of the side has been sun bleached when it’s been stored.

I have considered dyeing the bleached parts somehow but I don’t think I’d dare to touch it and I think it’s lovely as it is now aswell. Okay, now I am going to go buy some sort of treat for myself so that I’ll get motivated to study again.

Today has been a very slow day with headache, a walk that was supposed to be short, but turned out long and cold (it was in the search for pocporn) and studying for Högskoleprovet… Now Frej and I are going to watch a horror movie and eat popcorn and then go to sleep. The short film above was lovely I thought. Always in the mood for dystopias and whatnot.

I thought I should take some more pictures of the Fyrinnae eyeshadows I ordered a while back. However, I didn’t really succeed in showing much of the actual eyeshadow in the pictures and I am too lazy to take a new round of photos since it’s so hard to get my cell phone to work when I try to upload the pictures to the computer… I really need a real camera!
This eyeshadow is called OMGWTF anyway, and it’s a really nice poisonous yellow/green.

This dress is an old favourite of mine, a 1960s silk dress that was given to me by my old bosses at På Pricken Röd.

Today is a lazy day but I’ve managed to clean a bit and do some laundry, also I finally got 40/40 on the word test (once) at last! I played it like crazy and learned a lot of new words too, which is always needed. Right now I am in the process of trying to “steam” a velvet dress by putting it in the shower for a while, I read it’s a trick to try to fix it when the velvet is messed up. If it doesn’t work, anyone got any other tricks? I don’t have access to a steamer… Very thankful for suggestions! It’s harder than I thought to find advice on the internet for this problem.

Ziggy has broken his foot! He ran away this sunday and was missing for almost a day but then Suss found him outside. Think he jumped out from the balcony, poor thing. But he is happy anyway, he’s been to the vet and has pain meds.

Ziggy’s got a new girlfriend called Shelby who is here visiting for a couple of days in the hopes of sweet love and babies… I feel kinda bad for her because she was really nervous at being here at first but now she seems to be doing a bit better, but still. Her and I hang out a bit anyway!

Yesterday I actually found another dress, at the second hand store Ebbes hörna for 80 kr. Perfect full lenght dress, has everything I have ever wanted in a spring/summer dress!  (Not that I’ve even wanted long dresses for a long time, but this is the ultimate one I am sure!) Bow in the front, rose print! Sleeves that you can squeese in under a cardigan and that you can pull upp if you need shorter sleeves for summer.

I have to climb my bed to take some kind of full lenght pictures in my room because I got new bookshelves which has made it impossible to take pictures in the old angle in my room. Have to figure something out for Lily of the Valley pictures!

Yesterday I went thrifting with my cousin Johanna that is staying with us for a couple of days. I found this insanely fantastical letter weight, most useless thing ever perhaps? I now use it to adjust my vanity mirror when I do my make up. Any more suggestions of use? Might build a hat of it or something. I also found the Profecy of the Sibyl, printed 1763. That is 247 years ago. Some things are just not supposed to cost 5 kr and still they do. Since I am obviously some kind of a book hoarder, I also bought a book by Paulo Freire, one by Pierre Guillet de Monthoux, Germaine Greer, one by Kafka and one by Tomas Tranströmer and one with short stories by Alexander Solsjenitsyn.

Today I dyed my hair and studied Sweden’s plan for global development with my peoplez at school. Though we were at one of my course mate’s student housing which was terribly fancy & nice. They had an old piano, and a pool table.

Yesterday I burned my chick peas when I was making hummus (eng. spelling??). they turned out little black raisin. Johanna & I took the burnt ones out, rinsed & called it smoke aroma hummus. And it’s pretty good aswell! Very pleasing!!!

The wonderful umbrella holder thingie I bought at the antique fair in Stockholm! And my umbrellas.

Books from Bokbörsen arrived! Happy! I bought them without seeing pictures so I’m even happier now because I got the same edition of the Vian book that I used to have before it got lost!

And me today. Like I said, I rearranged the room so now my bed is on the same side as the bat poster & all that stuff. I’ll take pictures once I’ve got a book shelf, right now it’s too much of a mess to show off…

Plans for the day are: Mail things out, pick up medicine, go to lecture, meet up with girl in town to hand over a dress (I don’t usually do that and now I know why, it’s impossible to find an appropriate time for two people to meet up! First I got sick, then she had things to do, then I wasn’t in town for a bunch of days, etc etc) then go to Holmens marknad with Suss, come home, dye my hair & make hummus.

At the antique fair in Kista I found the boots I have been looking for since I was like 15 years old! I’ve wanted a pair like this through every style I’ve ever had, haha! They’ve always been way too expensive for me to afford on Tradera, Ebay etc but this pair was just 350 kr! (crazy!) And they’re PERFECT; have never even been used! They are part fabric and part shiny patent leather. They fit me so far, but I haven’t tried to wear them for an entire night yet. But if they hurt I will force my feet to make them fit anyway, or take pain meds, haha.

I wish I had taken better pictures of the other side of it where it is really advancely made. These are from Frej’s new apartment’s kitchen, I love his wallpapers a whole lot.

Beautifully patterned inside! And one of the prettiest hats. My other favourite is in black felt with a little acorn metal ornament on it.

And my grandmother gave me the little metal frame from the 19th century. I put a 50s cat post card in it. The frame used to belong to my grandfather’s mother. Frejs parents gave me the book on vintage clothing, pretty nice book with lots of pictures.
