All I have been doing lately is to study or to hang out with the cats. All but Rainbow & Gudrun have now moved to their new homes which is both fantastic and sad. Last week Frej, Ruby and I went on a health check for Gudrun and the kittens, all was well and we got Gudrun spayed.

Gudrun continues being the nicest and most accepting cat, she took the surgery well but was a bit sad over wearing the collar and that the kittens got scared of her when she was wearing it, but other from that she has been doing so well!

A little more than a week ago I was house sitting for Ruby and Emma as they went to Copenhagen on vacation. When they came back home, Emma got an allergy attack from the cats, having been away from them the allergy got way worse than before. She had to go to the hospital by ambulance and the cats had to emergency-move houses to Frej’s place, they have been living here for a week or so now.. So here they are, right now sleeping in different places all over the place! Ruby and Emma (medicated) were over for a while yesterday to visit with a few other friends & take the cats outside for the first time all together. And these are the pictures Ruby took. Hej Karin! du som bor i kollektiv, hur svårt är de att hitta ett kollektiv i gbg egentilgen? hur hittade du stället du bor på nu? ja har tittat på internet men är tacksam för tips på typ hemsidor elr jag vet inte vad som helst. om man är en 17åring som är social och skötsam lixom, finns det chanser? hoppas du har det fint,

Hej! Nu skrev jag ett långt svar som kanske delvis inte har med din fråga och göra men jag svävade ut och nu vill jag inte ta bort något! Jag, tillsammans med mina vänner Kristina och Julia, sökte helt enkelt stora lägenheter och startade upp vårt eget lilla kollektiv. Nu har jag bott här i tre år och har kontraktet och det har flyttat in och ut lite olika människor genom åren. Vi sökte via någon sida jag har glömt namnet på nu, men det var en betalsida för att  hitta lägenheter. Kan ha varit bopunkten, men i så fall har de gjort om sin sida väldigt mycket sedan vi var med där för jag känner inte riktigt igen den, men konceptet är samma. En sån där som man aldrig tror ska fungera, men för oss gick det jättebra och vi fick förstahandskontrakt på den här lägenheten inom 1-2 veckor om jag minns rätt. Men jag vet inte om det är så lätt som det råkade gå för oss, det var mest slumpen som fixade det. Och när vi skulle flytta in här var ingenting färdigbyggt, vi blev hämtade till en skum byggplats i bil och värden ville ha förskottshyra  (9500!) kontant i handen samma dag… Vi trodde allmänt att vi hade blivit blåsta på hela köret men gjorde det ändå, förstår fortfarande inte varför egentligen. Fick åka hem till hyresvärdens i mitt minne suspekta orangemålade hus i Partille för att skriva kontrakt i hans hemmakontor, han hade rustningar i vardagsrummet och sa att han skulle flytta till Brasilien så snart som möjligt, så det är väl egentligen inte att rekommendera. MEN det gick ju bra den gången iallafall. (GÖR INTE SÅ!!!!) Generellt så är det vad jag förstår lättare att få stora lägenheter i Göteborg än små, eftersom det är så mycket studenter som bor här.

När Julia, Kristina och jag skulle hitta en sista person att flytta in hos oss, annonserade vi på blocket efter en fjärde, Ulrika blev det.  När Kristina & Julia såsmåningom flyttade ut annonserade vi på blocket igen och Linnea och Suss flyttade in för att de skrev trevliga och fina svar på vår annons. Så ett tips är ju att leta efter kollektiv på blocket och skriva till folk som låter trevliga. Om du gör det så tycker jag att du ska köra på att inte skriva “Hej jag vill bo någonstans och jag röker inte inne. Hoppas på snabbt svar!”  utan berätta om dig själv och hur du är, vad du gillar att göra, varför du vill bo i kollektiv och så vidare. För man får sjukt många svar på en sådan annons i bostadsbristsgöteborg; desperata studenter som söker kollektiv som sistahandslösning, folk som håller på att skilja sig osv. (Inget ont om dem, men de skriver oftast så korta mail att det inte känns som att de är inne i tanken att bo i kollektiv, utan bara hitta någonstans att bo fort, vilket inte gör en så intresserad av att svara och lägga ned tid på att fixa fika, fixa så att alla de andra är hemma och kan träffa personen, ha rundtur i lägenheten och så vidare). Man orkar inte ta över varenda en på någonslags kollektiv-audition eller maila jättemycket med dem, utan går oftast på den som ger ett roligt och trevligt intryck och är öppen nog att berätta om sig själv från början.

Så, sen kommer du antagligen då få komma hem till dem som söker någon ny till sitt kollektiv & hälsa på dem och titta på rummet.  Det uppskattas om du har tänkt på, och frågar om saker som hur de sköter maten; gemensamt eller ensamma, vegetariskt/veganskt etc, hur städschemat ser ut. Och ha lite koll på om de har något kontrakt mellan varandra om uppsägningstider, skador man orsakar lägenheten/huset & ditt nya rum, för det kan vara väldigt bra att ha. Och har de inte det kan man föreslå att de borde ha det, för det blir lätt dålig stämning om någon känner sig osäker på sin boendesituation.

För några dagar sedan hamnade jag förresten på den här sidan för kollektivförmedling så det var ju passande att du frågade just nu! Det finns också en hel del annonser på alternativ.nu.
Sen finns det också några ordentliga stora kollektiv i Göteborg, exempelvis Stacken och Trädet, jag har vänner som bor eller har bott i Stacken och det verkar fantastiskt, jag skulle gärna bo där själv någon gång i framtiden. Där kan du skriva en intresseanmälan om vad du skulle vilja ha, men jag tror det är långa väntetider för att få lägenhet och att det är lättare att leta exempelvis i kollektivförmedlingen efter folk som bor där och kommer få ett tomt rum i någon av lägenheterna.

Sista tipset är att fråga på facebook om dina kompisar vet plats i något kollektiv i Göteborg, det är väldigt många som bara gör ett facebookevent och skickar ut i sina bekantskapskretsar när de söker nya kollektivmedlemmar.

Jag tror absolut att det finns chans att få plats i kollektiv, definitivt mycket större chans än att få egen lägenhet! Och det är ändå mycket trevligare att bo i kollektiv tycker jag! Okej, hoppas detta hjälpte lite och lycka till!

I have been a crappy blogger for sure these last few months, or even the entire year but I am planning (haha) to get better at it again! My 25th birthday is coming up real soon and I am trying hard to make a wish list, which is one of the hardest things I know. So far I only have: a new duvet as I have had my old one for ever and it’s all kinds of gross. And I wish for vegetarian shoes airseal boots, but I cannot decide between the black ones with 14 eyelets or the green ones with 10. I have always been of the opinion that the higher boots the better and I am sort of regretting ever selling my 20 holed undergrounds to Linnea when I was sixteen… But I now checked out underground’s website – they do have vegan 20 holed boots but the quality doesn’t look as good as Vegetarian Shoes’. Does anyone of you know?  All this knowledge about classic boots has disappeared from the last time I actually owned a pair.

And that is all I can think of that I would need or want. Help me with boot advice and I’ll at least have two things to wish for!

Frej and I spent quite a long while of the day biking around Hisingen. We went to a fleamarket to sell of things that had been used in a movie production, but I didn’t buy anything interesting there – only wrapping paper to send out things in. Which was good because the place where I have bought the environmentally friendly boxes I ship items in have taken the boxes out of stock and I need to find a good place to buy something similar, but now I can procrastinate with that too for a little bit! Yayyzz… and I bought some books and a red skirt at Emmaus. And ate a whole lot.

Here is a blog post completely due to procrastination from studying for my test tomorrow. I took some detail photos of the jacket I wore yesterday as it is one of my absolute favourite garments! I bought it from a lady called Ulla, she used to wear it at the folks market in Jönköping. I am not good at putting dates on antique clothing pre 1910 or so, so I am not sure which era it is from and I’d love help if you know more than I do on the subject!

It closes at the side and shoulder with hooks (and also down the front with more hooks, which are hidden), so it’s quite impossible for me to get on by myself and when I wear it I usually wear it all day because it’s so tricky to get in and out of when you have to ask someone for help all the time. One of the sleeves and a little part of the side has been sun bleached when it’s been stored.

I have considered dyeing the bleached parts somehow but I don’t think I’d dare to touch it and I think it’s lovely as it is now aswell. Okay, now I am going to go buy some sort of treat for myself so that I’ll get motivated to study again.

This is what I wore to Gothenburgs annual book fair the day before yesterday. I have never attended before and it was way nicer than I thought it’d be. (Less stress and more free magazines). Sofi Oksanen walked past Frej and me in the street when we were out to buy baguettes! And Nina Hagen told me I was beautiful as she signed my copy of her new book that I have started to read even though it’s pretty annoying.
