I’ve added a few really beautiful antique post cards to Lily!

I’ve been trying to update the site with new things since yesterday but my internet is so slow right now (We exceeded the monthly limit again, which means we get shut down to stoneage speed) that I haven’t been able to add much at all, neither to upload any pictures to the blog or anywhere. Terribly annoying. Anyway, I’ve decided that I should sell most of the antique post cards so I’ve been adding some before I got too pissed off at having to re-write descriptions and upload pictures 5+ times before the item actually got up and published… Annoying thing is that they’re already scanned and up on the internet, but not in the right image proportions so I can’t use them anyway. I hate slow internet.
Frej got the apartment! I’m all excited for him, it’s such a nice place, on the second floor with a park view! And it has a real kitchen! No more doing dishes in the shower living in a student housing.

Here’s one picture I managed to upload too! Carin & I at FPP this Saturday. Much more on it’s way, when I’m at a place with a speedier connection or this month is over and the internet becomes fast again.

There’s a sale over at my site now, all dresses are half off since I want to make room for new things coming in!

These are all the clothes that do not at this moment fit in to my wardrobe wall of four huge wardrobes. Yesterday I borrowed the rack from my flatmate because the clothes have been hanging on the wardrobe handles since I moved in here and I couldn’t stand the mess anymore.! Most of these things are going to be for sale but I haven’t had time to photograph and list them on the site yet. One part in my organization routine is that I will have everything that I keep in stock up on the site! I need to free so much space in this room!
Another part of the big Organization is that I quit eating sugar again! 9 days & counting, haha. I have a little bit withdrawl but I know sugar just messes with my head and makes me tired so it’s not that hard to let go of it. New Years 2007-2008 I had as a resolution to not eat sugar and didn’t for about 6 months. I was so much more energetic then so I decided to start again now that I am doing other changes to improve myself. That, and the fact that I can’t fit in to my favourite pair of shorts right now with annoys me. Don’t want to buy a new pair.
Updated the site with things today to make up for yesterday. Patterns (love that first one with the braided girl!), belts, purses, collars, bedding and the lovely 60s curtain with silly animals on it!

I have only added two things to the site, my organization fell apart a little bit! Really typical to not be able to follow the schedule on the first day you were going to use it for realz. I might be able to add more tonight if my flatmate sees my message but I wouldn’t count on that myself. But I have so much photographed and ready for tomorrow! Anyway, the things I added are terribly cute! It’s this folklorey illustration on glass, and tiny wooden 50s penguins.
I’m adding these to the site tonight! Those 19th century prints are to die for even without the gold frames but with them they are hard to let go off.. but I will still do it!
Today Frej has given me a little lecture on organizing your life after having read some book in the subject. So from now on I will start with a schedule! My new plan is to add new things to the site every Sunday. Also this blog will be a bit more organized with better categories and whatnot. I’m actually looking forward to my new structure!
Things coming up on the site tonight!

I get asked one question in particular all the time in real life so I thought I should write about it here! The question is why my store is called Lily of the Valley. There are some different reasons that made me want to have the name but really it was mainly a coincidence, my ex-boyfriend John was reading out of an english dictionary and read a couple of words out loud and then he said Lily of the Valley and I said YESSS!
1. Lilly is my grandmother’s name.
2. Lilies of the Valley have always been my favourite flower along with forget-me-nots and one of the very few scents I like (I have a very crappy sense of smell and can hardly smell anything, and I’m even worse with remembering smells but Lily of the Valley I do remember)
3. Lily Karin Linnéa is also my own name these days
4. Lily is a beautiful song by Kate Bush
